In 2006, Ms. Vivianne Marrero joined the Federal Public Defender’s Office as a Research and Writing Specialist. After two and a half years, she became an Assistant Federal Public Defender handling federal criminal matters in both the Puerto Rico District Court and the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit. She is currently a Third Level Supervisor and the Supervisor of the Appeals Section.
Ms. Marrero obtained her Juris Doctor from the University of Puerto Rico School of Law in May 2003, and was admitted to the Puerto Rico Bar in January 2004. After graduating from law school, she clerked two years for Honorable Pierre E. Vivoni del Valle, Judge of the Puerto Rico Court of Appeals.
Ms. Marrero is a member of the Federal Bar for the District of Puerto Rico, and the Bar of the District of Columbia Court of Appeals. She is also admitted to the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit and the Supreme Court of the United States.
