Hector joined the office as a Research & Writing Specialist in 2021, after three years in private practice. Before joining the office, he served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Judge Aida Delgado-Colón in the District of Puerto Rico. He also clerked in the Puerto Rico Supreme Court for Associate Justice Anabelle Rodríguez-Rodríguez, and then for Chief Justice Liana Fiol-Mata.
Hector graduated from Yale University with a B.A. in Literature and obtained his J.D. magna cum laude from the University of Puerto Rico School of Law. He is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Puerto Rico, the United States District Court for the District of Puerto Rico, and the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit.
