Alejandra Bird López joined the office as a Research and Writing Specialist in 2018.
Ms. Bird López received her Bachelor’s degree from Yale University and her Juris Doctor from the William and Mary School of Law.
Ms. Bird López is admitted to practice before the Puerto Rico Supreme Court, the United States District Court for the District of Puerto Rico, the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit and the United States Supreme Court.
Prior to working with the Defender’s Office, Ms. Bird Lopez worked for a non-profit organization in the area of civil rights litigation and later as a solo practitioner in a variety of different legal areas. She also handled court appointed criminal cases in the federal courts.
