Joseph joined the Federal Public Defender Office in 2019. Prior to becoming an Assistant Federal Public Defender, Joseph was in private practice in Michigan for over 20 years. During this time, Joseph represented hundreds of clients in routine and complex criminal cases. He has experience in both federal and state courts throughout the country with cases involving allegations of economic-fraud, terrorism, sexual assault, controlled substance violations and many other types of criminal matters. Joseph received his BS degree in Criminal Justice and Psychology from Eastern Michigan University and graduated from Detroit Mercy Law School in 1996.
